West Texas University students visit
Wednesday, 27th June, 2007
11 philosophy students and staff from West Texas A&M University visit the birthplace of John Locke, accompanied by Dr Andrew Woodfield of Bristol University, who played a leading role in our celebration in 2004 of the tercentenary of Locke's death. They photographed the stone marking the site of Locke's grandmother's cottage, looked round the church, climbed up the tower with Philip Kinsman, and finally took tea in the Reading Room, before boarding their minibus back to London.
The party with Professor Rick Parrish and Andrew Woodfield holding the tee shirt presented to him.
