Golden Lion - naming the lion (Carver)

Who's this sitting so imposingly outside MY pub ...?
A number of regulars were involved in preparing the newcomer for its new role, once it had been off-loaded from its transport.
The Golden Lion's oldest 'regular', John Hair, does the honours as the pub's new emblem is named and unveiled to admiring onlookers on Saturday, 19th August at 1.30pm.
'Carver' - for that, indeed, is his name, came from the Doone Valley on Exmoor ....






.... and has already raised a tidy sum for BIBIC, the British Institute for Brain Injured Children, received by Lucy Howells on behalf of the charity
