When Horace Ashman dropped the flag to start the 24th annual fun run organised by the Wrington & Redhill AFC, some runners started, some hesitated, and some were facing the wrong way - but before that ....

.... they'd registered ... and Horace had surveyed the less than sunny conditions ..

.... the rules and the route had been thoroughly explained ...

... sponsored vests had been donned ... ... and only then did they all face the same way and make a dash for it ...

... leaving the spectators at the Rec gates to await the eventual leaders of the two-lap race ...
