Victorian Evening
Friday, 13th December, 2002
Part of the large crowd who attended a pre-Christmas Victorian evening on the green and in front of The Plough.

A variety of stalls sold food and other items, the Choral Society and Churchill School junior gospel choir provided seasonal music
Styles of dress ranged from close attempts at genuine Victorian

-to those which certainly caught the party mood, whatever the historical period
The vital job of switching on the Christmas tree lights was entrusted to a mystery distinguished guest - who had somehow managed to use Michael Carey's passion wagon
And when Michael (sorry) the mystery guest had flung a very Victorian-looking lever, lo and behold, the tree was lit up - like one or two others around the scene
