Luhimba
The gentleman from the Weston Mercury setting up a photograph in the side room of the scout hall on Friday, 12th July, 2002.

The occasion was the presentation of cheques from All Saints', the Merchant Venturers, and Melton Mowbray and Carlton Rotary clubs to Paul Temple, who, together with Michael Carey, received them on behalf of the Luhimba project.

It was also an opportunity for Paul to give an illustrated report on the remarkable progress achieved in this village in south Tanzania.
Once everyone had packed in and Paul had shown his slides, he and Michael encouraged a lively discussion on ways in which Wrington and Luhimba might develop a relationship to their mutual benefit.
The Luhimba project has had links with Wrington from its inception because of Michael and Angela Carey.
