To all Golfers and Friends,

We had a good turnout for this
month's game at the Wedmore Golf Club.We started with over 20 members, but Wedmore has put
in force winter rules. They only allow hedgehog wheels on trollies, so unfortunately, we had a few members cry off. As always, the golf club did us proud, with an excellent roast beef dinner, followed by a homemade fruit crumble. We had warm weather all day, and kept up the luck we have had with the weather gods all year.

We teed off at 10.30am on Armistice Day. It was nice to see everyone on the course at 11am stand and observe the two minute silence. The penultimate game of the year was won by Nathan Walker with a great score of 42 points. Ron Johnson was on top
form, as he won both the nearest the pin and the longest drive. The trip to the London Palladium to see their Christmas Show, with a weekend hotel and £500 spending money, was won by Fred Addicott.

Our last game of 2015 will be our three clubs and a putter match on 9 December, played at Tall Pines Golf Club. We will meet at Tall Pines for a bacon roll and coffee. Friends are asked to join us to make up teams of four. Surprise yourself with the good score you achieved playing with only three clubs in your bag. Then we go back to the clubhouse for a warming bowl of soup.

Later that evening, we meet at the Golden Lion for the prizes to be awarded. We enjoy a buffet and invite wives, partners, friends
and golfers to join us. It's a great time to catch up with old friends and start off the Christmas spirt.

We hope to see you if you can make it - or why not come along and enjoy a game in the 2016 season?

Best seasonal wishes from us all at the Lion.
