I hope you all had a very enjoyable festive season; I wonder how many New Year resolutions are still going strong. If you're anything like my household, they will all have died a death within the first week.

As usual, our first game was at Weston-s-Mare Golf club, on a wonderful spring-like day. 21 members teed off with 2 new boys
among the team, Pete and Adam. We look forward to enjoying their company in the coming year.

For the first time we tried the new format of just having bacon rolls and golf. The jury is still out as to whether I like it or not. We will try it again at Tall Pines in February and review it then

The GLUGS January game was won by Chris Knowlton and he also had nearest the pin. This has got to stop Chris, as you now own more GLUGS tee shirts than I have in stock. The longest drive was hit by Rich Blunden on his return after having been away for some time.

We all had a great day, finished off by us all going round to the Plough with our partners for a steak meal. James and Becky made us very welcome; they are wonderful hosts.
