Broad Street Athletico
Wrington AFC
Current Journal entry

With a large number of last season’s team retiring or going to university, this season looked as if it might be a struggle, but the enthusiasm of manager Andy Patch and his
assistants has influenced a number of new players, including the very experienced Nathan Walker.

Andy has had the problem of trying to rotate his squad in order to give all the players a chance. After starting the season with two heavy defeats Wrington’s hard work and
determination has began to pay off, and the following five games saw one win, three draws and one defeat.

The highlight was a 1-0 defeat of Wedmore who had beaten us 3-0 earlier in the season, the goal scored by teenager Paul Stead. It is also pleasing to see youngsters James
Stacey and Stu Robertson beginning to show real improvement.

Athletico have brought in Paul Nicholson to help Adrian Garrett run the team on match days which enables Andy and Rob Milne to concentrate on their playing duties.

We would to take this oppurtunity to thank our many supporters who have followed us this season in all weathers.

Your support is of much value.
