We had a splendid turnout on Saturday 30 August for the Show [photos].

Despite the bad weather leading up to the event, the entries were only slightly down on last year.

Many thanks to all the local businesses who supported the show and to Cleeve Nursery for providing the children's winners vouchers and lucky programme voucher.

The winners of the classes were:

Fruit Classes Cup - Bob Boyd,
Vegetable classes Cup - Bob Boyd
Decorative Classes Cup - Sylvia Smeed.
Domestic Classes Cup - Lucie Howells.
Dahlia Cup - Bob Boyd.
Chrysanthemum Cup - Bob Boyd.
Children's Classes Cup - Emily Hurst.
The Esmond Marshall Memorial Trophy was awarded to Bob Boyd.

Next year’s Show will be on 5 September 2009.

Photographic subjects next year are, "A Building or Garden in Wrington" and "Rural
Crafts".
