! ! Our major International project thjs year is the collection of spectacles and books for distribution in countries where they are desperately needed. We are seeking your help. Spectacles We need any glasses you no longer require. There are millions of people in the third-world who cannot see properly because they simpiy cannot afford glasses. This means they may be unable to read or to work or to see the faces of their families. Books We also need books of fiction - adult or children's - hard-cover or paper-back in excellent condition which are less than ten yearsold. The books are urgently needed to teach people to read and to improve their reading skills. Please have a look on your shelves and in your cupboards for any spectacles or books - any contributions that you can make will significantly improve the quality of life of those less fortunate than yourselves. Please take them to Wrington Post Office, which has kindly agree to act as a depot. |
