With the first half-term of the pre school year already under our belts, we've really enjoyed getting to know the new children who joined us back in September. Everyone has settled in well and we're really enjoying the mini topics that the children are concentrating on, as our thoughts begin to turn to Christmas and the lead-up to it.
In the meantime, our lunch club that we run on Tuesday and Thursday is proving to be ever popular, providing our children with an ideal opportunity to share a lunchtime meal with new friends as well as improving their social skills. An extra thrill is that they occasionally get to try the spoils of their cookery mornings - always a fun experience for teachers and children alike!
We are intending to run a couple of Open Mornings for prospective parents in November. It will be an ideal opportunity to see a pre- school session in practice and with our teachers more than happy to answer any questions that you may have - so look out for the flyers and posters advertising the dates and please try and pop in for a coffee and a chat - we're looking forward to meeting you and your children.
P.S. Look out for the Wrington Pre- School Recipe Book coming to a shop near you soon, featuring action shots of some of the recipes being made by our children. It's full of family favourites and compiled by parents who have kindly donated their best loved gourmet delights. We're hoping it's going to be an ideal gift for Christmas, helping to raise valuable funds for the pre- school as well as extending your own recipe repertoire - so please grab a copy or two of this limited edition publication - and 'get cooking!'
