Little Stars playgroup invites you to celebrate its annual Christmas party on 14 December from 1.30-3pm at the Memorial Hall. There will be lots of fun to be had, with a bouncy castle and a party tea to ensure your baby or toddler has a good time. Father Christmas has also been invited, and he has
told Little Stars he may bring some presents. It may also be a good time to pick up a few Christmas cards and presents that will be on sale.

Little Stars meets every Tuesday in term time from 1.30-3pm at the Memorial Hall. It caters for all ages, from babies, toddlers to preschoolers. Crafts such as painting and Play-Doh keep children busy, and there is lots of space to play on the great toys and trikes. It costs £1.50, which is used to pay for snacks, and craft materials and the hiring of the hall.

Amy, Little Stars committee member says: 'We welcome new people - mums, dads, grandparents and carers. We are a friendly group. Little Stars playgroup is a great chance for children to see
playmates and for mums to meet each other. Come and have a cup of tea and a chat, whilst your little one plays.'

Little Stars is run by mums for mums with the invaluable help from the ladies from the Mothers' Union,
who prepare teas and snacks for the parents and children. Set up by vicar Derek Hooper in the
1980s, it has been going strong ever since, and it depends on parents to help run it.

Amy says, “If anyone would like to help out with Little Stars, setting up the toys, creative ideas for crafts or play, or singing for the children, get in touch with me. We need people who can help out once every month or every two months. A big thank you to everyone to has volunteered so far, especially to the Mothers' Union who have made us tea for over twenty years.”
