Broad Street All Saints', Wrington
Church Crawl to East Brent

Church Crawls were begun some years ago and run through the months of July and August. We visit other churches around and about - sometimes going far enough afield as to take a half day. But mostly they are evening affairs, with
cars leaving the Triangle at 7pm.
They have been organised by different volunteers over the years. This year, as last year, it's Pauline Wathen, whose careful preparation and reconnoitring results in easy journies, good parking,
and warm welcomes wherever we go !
For example, on Wednesday, 2nd August, it was an evening trip down to St Mary's at East Brent

An outstanding feature of St Mary's is its
                           including gallery, pews,
 superb Jacobean woodwork -
 lectern and pulpit
East Brent is proud of its reputation as the instigator of Harvest Home suppers, and one of our guides this evening herself created the Harvest Home banner in St Mary's

She and another former churchwarden gave us our usual fascinating introduction to the church's history and layout .....

..... and we were delighted when they joined us for our customary saying
of Compline
We were especially fortunate with the site for our picnic afterwards, thanks to the hospitality unexpectedly afforded us by the proprietor of Rossholm School, whose grounds adjoin the church
