Harvest Lunch
Sunday, 23rd September, 2007

Last minute preparations for this year's Harvest Lunch in John and Pat Ledbury's barn.

Such an atmospheric location was much appreciated by the 66 diners, ranging in age from 6 weeks to 90+, who proceeded to enjoy the 'fruits of the harvest' prepared by Miriam Heggie's team of helpers - a ham and cheese ploughman's, followed by apple crumble and cream, all washed down by a choice of Thatchers cider, Butcombe bitter and the odd squash.

Rousing versions of favourite harvest hymns were led by our host John Ledbury.
Photos kindly supplied by David Heggie                     ... they also serve who .. do the washing up
